Gill’s Old Bastards has a new home: http://www.gills-old-bastards.com
Who are Gill’s Old Bastards?
We are a charity group who enjoy a drink or two. The AOOB (Australia Order of Old Bastards) was formed in 1968 in NSW and has since spread all over the country. The Brisbane branch has only recently been set up but we are eager to make it one of the biggest and most active branches in the country. Our primary charities are the Gallipoli Foundation (cancer research) and The Cancer Council Queensland (formerly Queensland Cancer Fund).
Our group meets at The Criterion Tavern every Wednesday evening after work. The raffles are a bit of fun and raise great money for our charities.
So, come along for a drink and meet some like minded people. If you like what you see, talk to someone about joining up. I don’t think $15 for a life membership is going to send anyone broke.
Gill’s Old Bastard Membership:
If you would like to join the GOBs, simply get in touch with PK, Gav or any other member and talk to us about joining. We’ll put you on file, it’ll make you smile and you’ll be doing something worthwhile.
Gill’s Old Bastards currently support The Cancer Council Queensland, The Gallipoli Foundation and Radio Lollipop. We pass the hat around at some of the trivia gigs each week and all monies raised are distributed between these three charities.
Barefoot bowls is the next event for the OBs. On May 22nd at Coorparoo Bowls Club, it’s shoes off and play! ($15 mem, $20 non-mem)
